PROFILE
Born in Brazil and graduated BA-Fine Arts and MAFA from LASALLE College of the arts in 2012 and 2016, Singapore, Deusa graduated in Business Administration in Brazil, studied one year Graphic Design in Germany, participated regularly in life drawing/painting classes at Bilik 3-Dharma from Teguh Ostenrik, Indonesia, Professional Development Course, Acrylic painting, at LASALLE College of the arts in Singapore and workshops from Mister Sebastian sculptor from Mexico. In 2014 she participated on the STPI (Singapore Tyler Print Institute) Mono-prints with Dry Point on Plastic Workshop.
Her works are mainly paintings that deal with expression, form, expressive lines, manipulation of materials and colors.
She is often inspired by material manipulation and the unconscious mind.
Blümke has shown her works in various Fairs and exhibitions including solo exhibition, “Brazil my Passion”, Bentara Budaya, Indonesia 2007; Group Exhibition “Cordially Yours”, Taman Ismail Marsuki, The Jakarta Arts Center, Indonesia 2007 and group Exhibition Breakthrough art Creations III, Fill your walls gallery (partner of the Singapore Art show 09). Deusa was one of the International Artists selected from the global International Emerging Artist Award Open Call in Dubai as one of the "Best Picks Painting" Category in Mai 2013. She was also previously selected from the Open Call : Small Sculpture Show ll, from Sculpture Square Jan. 2011 and one of the selected finalists from the open call “Redefining Materials” from SOTA School of Arts to be exhibited in June 2012. In April, 2013, she was specially invited by the Brazilian Ambassador to Singapore to inaugurate the First Solo Show of the Brazilian Cultural Centre, at the Brazilian Embassy. In Mai 2014, she was invited to participate in the EurekaHedge Asia Hedge Fund Award Ceremony 2014 with one painting for their live charity auction with last bid at S$ 10.500,00 (with proceeds going to COC-Children Of Cambodia Org.)
In 2015 she pursued her Masters Degree in Fine Arts from LASALLE College, graduating in 2016 and was selected to show her work "JUMP" in the Artprize7 Show in Michigan/ USA.
In 2017 Deusa was invited to participate in the Three Month NPE Art Residency, that concluded with an exhibition in their art gallery space, showing her explorations and responses regarding the residency environment, printing, paper, plastics, discarded materials, line and colour.
Her interests lies in how art can be translated as a bridge between the artist, the viewer, and the active use of the moment as well as painting with various materials and it’s connection with colors and mood.
Highly interested in possibilities and different forms of connections, her upcoming projects continue to include exploration and manipulation of materials and how these materials are used in different forms of layering. The painting is formed not only from the surface, but rather by explorations and “surprises” coming from between layers.
She treats her paintings as energetic and live organisms.
